Local Brevities.

  Yesterday morning, about 4 o'clock, Bernard J., the oldest son of 
William R. and Anna McConnell, died at the residence of his parents, 
1310 Fifth avenue.  Three weeks ago he sustained a severe stroke of 
paralysis which caused his death.  He was 26 years of age and is 
survived by three sisters and one brother.  They are Maggie, Mollie and 
Mrs. Richard Rowan, and Edgar, all of this city.  The funeral will take 
place Friday morning at 8.30 o'clock.  Services at Sacred Heart chapel.  
Interment in St. John's cemetery.
