Mrs. Catherine J. McConnell 

  Mrs. Catherine J. McConnell who died Sunday at the home of a daughter 
in Altoona, was a sister of Thomas Hagan and Miss Annie Hagan of near 
Chest Springs, Cambria County and Mrs. Bridget McCullough of 
Philadelphia.  She was the widow of Alexander McConnell and was born in 
County Tyrone, Ireland, November 12, 1826, coming to this country at 
the age of eighteen.  Three children survive her - Mrs. J. Hershberger, 
John A. and Thomas A.  The funeral was held Wednesday from the Sacred 
Heart Catholic Church at Altoona.
