EDGAR THOMAS McCONNELL

Of 1108 Thirteenth avenue, died at his home at 4.30 o’clock this
morning after three years’ illness.  He was born in Altoona Jan. 10,
1876, a son of William and Bridget Ann (Flowers) McConnell, and
retired in 1941 after 50 years’ service as a sheetmetal worker in the
Altoona works.  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Anna (Bush) McConnell;
one sister, Mrs. Margaret Duaney of the city, and several nieces and
nephews.  Mr. McConnell was a member of the Cathedral of the Blessed
Sacrament, the Holy Name, Altar and Rosary societies.  Friends will be
received at the Jones funeral home after 7 o’clock this evening.
