FRANCIS PATRICK McCONNELL

Died at 1.30 o'clock this morning of a complication of diseases at his 
home in Poplar run following an illness of six months. He was born in 
Freedom township Oct. 3, 1851, the son of James and Hester McConnell. 
Mr. McConnell conducted a store and served as postmaster at Poplar run 
for the past twenty years. He is survived by his wife, Angeline, one 
daughter, Mrs. Raymond Hazenstab of Poplar run, one brother and one 
sister, John of this city and Mrs. Martha Diehl of Portage. Funeral 
services will be held Saturday morning at 9 with requiem mass in St. 
Patrick's church, Newry, followed by interment in the church cemetery.
