McCONNELL

  Thomas A. McConnell died at the Altoona hospital yesterday afternoon 
of pneumonia at 2.45 o'clock.  He was born in this city on January 1, 
1855, and was employed with the Pennsylvania Railroad company as 
telegraph instrument maker.  He was the son of Alex and Catherine J. 
McConnell, and is survived by his wife and three children, and a 
brother and a sister, of this city.  The funeral arrangements will be 
announced later.  Interment in St. John's cemetery.

FUNERAL NOTICE

  The funeral of Thomas A. McConnell will be held from the Stevens 
mortuary on Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock with mass in the Mt. Carmel 
church.  Interment in St. John's cemetery.
