All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ MCCONNELL - An Irishman, a stranger, on Sunday morning last, went to the culvert, near the residence of Mr. Peter Empfield, in Logan township, and fell into the creek. Some of Mr. Empfield's family saw him and went to his assistance, when it was discovered that he was laboring under an attack of mania-a-potu and he struggled in one fit after another until five o'clock, when he died. Coroner Humes held an inquest, and the jury rendered a verdict according to the above facts. He had in his possession a bunch of keys, and was supposed to be named McConnell.
