Father William H. McCook, aged 63 rector of St. Aloysius church of Pottstown for the past five years and a former priest of the Altoona diocese, was found dead Monday in a room at the Adelphia hotel, apparently the victim of a heart attack. He was enroute to New York to attend a funeral. A native of Girardville, Pa., Father McCook was ordained in 1913 at Altoona by the late Most Rev. Bishop Eugene A. Garvey. He served as an assistant pastor at churches in Hollidaysburg, Huntingdon and Loretto before being transferred to the archdiocese of Philadelphia. He attended St. Bonaventure seminary at Olean, N.Y.
