McCormick were startled this morning by the information of his death, which occurred at half- past three o'clock. He had been ill but a few days. On Tuesday last he was seized by an attack of vertigo while at work, and after reaching his residence, 1119 Thirteenth avenue, he found himself so weak that he was forced to take his bed. From that time he grew rapidly worse, having several severe hemorrhages, and despite the efforts of his physician and friends, his disease finally proved fatal. Mr. McCormick was a gentleman of fine education, he served with distinction during the late war and was well and favorably known both in professional and amateur theatrical circles. He was for six years president and manager of the G.W. Brooke Dramatic Association of this city. Notwithstanding his apparently distant and dignified, soldierly bearing at all times, he had a warm heart, and was surrounded by a circle of warm personal friends. All who knew him will regret sincerely his unexpected and sudden death, and express the hope that he will have eternal rest. He leaves a loving wife and two small children to mourn his death. The funeral will take place on Sunday afternoon between the hours of two and three o'clock. He was aged thirty-five years, nine months and eighteen days. May he rest in peace.
