McCoy, who was at one time a resident of this city, died at his home in Punxsutawney, Jefferson county, on Friday last, aged 60 years. The immediate cause of his death was hemorrhage of the lungs. Mr. McCoy was a native of Indiana county. He resided here from 1873 to 1877, during which time he was general agent for the Singer sewing machine company. From 1877 to 1883 he lived on his farm near Fostoria, this county, in the latter year removing to Punxsutawney where he made his home until his death. He was a good man and a consistent member of the Methodist Episcopal church. His wife and three children survive to mourn his departure. The children are Mrs. W. A. Ambrose, of this city, Mrs. John A. Crawford, of Tyrone, and Charles, who is in business at Bradford, McKean county. The body of Mr. McCoy was consigned to the grave yesterday. Many of our readers will hear of his death with regret. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., March 25, 1886
