Edward Wallace McCurdy, son of William A. and Mary M. McCurdy, both deceased, died yesterday morning at 8:15 o'clock at the home of his wife's mother, Mrs. S. Hamilton, 604 Sixth avenue. Mr. McCurdy was born and raised in Altoona and for the greater part of his life was a resident of this city. He was employed as statistician in the office of general division accountant, general superintendent's department, Harrisburg. He was transferred to that city with that organization in March, 1920, and since that time he and his wife resided in Mechanicsburg. Mr. McCurdy was united in marriage to Miss Ethel May Hamilton, May 24, 1915. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church in Mechanicsburg and was also affiliated with the Mountain City lodge 837, I.O.O.F., Camp 54, P.O.S. of A., Logan lodge, F.A.M. and of the Harrisburg lodge of Perfection He is survived by his wife and the following brothers and sisters, C. G. McCurdy, Mrs. Edna Heider, Mrs. C. C. English of this city, and Mrs. F. E. Louder of Tyrone. Funeral services will be held at 604 Sixth avenue, Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, and the Rev. B. F. Bungard, pastor of the First United Brethren church, will be in charge. Interment will be made in Rose Hill cemetery. Friends may view the body Tuesday evening from 7 to 10 o'clock.
