ESTHER MAE McCURDY Wife of George Clarence McCurdy of 2425 Seventh avenue, died at the Altoona hospital at 3.30 o'clock yesterday afternoon after a long illness. She was born in Altoona, Nov. 8, 1891, a daughter of George and Lucy Fortenbaugh, and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church and of Colonel John Proctor chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. Surviving are her husband, her parents, two brothers and two sisters, John H. Fortenbaugh of this city, William C. Fortenbaugh of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Mrs. R.A. Trout of New Brighton and Mrs. Walter Simmins of Wilkinsburg. Funeral services will be held at the late home at 3.45 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, with Rev. John L. Barnes, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran church, officiating. Interment will be made in the Presbyterian cemetery, Hollidaysburg. The body may be viewed at the home. Altoona Mirror, Monday, 14 April 1930
