McCURDY 84, a guest at Epworth Manor, Tyrone, formerly of 2815 6th Ave., died Saturday, March 29, 1980, in Tyrone Hospital. Miss McCurdy retired as chief operator at Bell Telephone in 1964, after 44 years' service. She was born Nov. 30, 1895, in Altoona, the daughter of James M. and Sarah (Johnston) McCurdy. Surviving is a niece, Mrs. Helen A. Fields of Epworth Manor. Miss McCurdy was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church, Women's Society, Upright Sunday School class and Telephone Pioneers of America. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in Stevens Mortuary. McCURDY - Services for Florence E. McCurdy of Epworth Manor, Tyrone, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Memorial Chapel of Stevens Mortuary, 1421 8th Ave., by the Rev. Robert Reasy. Interment in Fairview Cemetery.
