Samuel Myers McCurdy, a retired cement contractor, died yesterday morning at 5:50 o'clock at his home, 2610 Sixth avenue, of a complication of diseases, after an illness of three years, during fourteen months of which period he was bedfast. He was born on December 25, 1858, at Fort Loudon, Franklin county, and had resided in this city for thirty years. Three years ago he retired from active business pursuits. He was married on January 4, 1880, in Everett, and is survived by his widow, Mrs. Margaret McCurdy, with the following children: Mrs. Stella Smeltzer, Mrs. Lottie Haupt, Mrs. Dora Fisher, Miss Pearl, John and Romig, of this city, together with several brothers and sisters.
