Robert McCutcheon, in the 81st year of his age. Democratic Standard, Hollidaysburg, Pa., Wednesday, July 15, 1863 IN MEMORIAM The Rev. Robert McCucheon, born in County Tyrone, Ireland, Feb. 1st, A.D. 1783, died at his residence in Gaysport, Blair County, Pa., July the 10th, A.D. 1863, aged 80 years, 5 months and 9 days. At an early age of thirteen, in the land of his nativity, he gave himself to God, "through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth," and ever after walked in the light of the Lord. He was a man of pure morality, deep piety, and steady, consistent religious zeal. As a preacher, he was characterized by sound sense and a glowing earnestness that made his ministrations always effective. In his death the community has lost a valuable citizen, the M. E. Church a faithful, devoted and worthy member - one whose spirit was always wise and whose spirit was always pacific - and his family have lost a Father whose word and walk taught the same path to Heaven.
