This morning at 7:30 o'clock Miss Kate McDermott died at her home, 1700 Fifth avenue, of pulmonary trouble caused by the grip with which she was afflicted about two years ago. She was 24 years of age on the 24th of November last and was a young lady of many rare qualities and greatly endeared to a large circle of friends. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic church and died in the full hope of a blessed immortality. The deceased was a daughter of the late Colonel Barnabas McDermott, and her death is mourned by her mother, Mrs. Kate McDermott, and three sisters, Mrs. Dr. Oatman, of this city, Mrs. Frank Platt, of Gallitzin, and Miss Alice, at home, also one brother, David McDermott, of this city.
