He Succumbed Just Before the Expiration of His Term. ALTOONA, Nov. 22 - A. P. McDonald, postmaster of this city, died this afternoon after a month's illness, aged 47 years. He was appointed by President Harrison and his term would have expired December 18. Mr. McDonald served two terms in the Legislature. Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia, Pa., November 22, 1895 - A. P. MacDonald, Postmaster of Altoona, Penn., died yesterday of Bright's disease. He was appointed Postmaster by President Harrison, and his term would have expired next month. He served one term in the State Legislature, and during the late war was engaged as a clerk with the construction corps under Gen. Sherman.
