He was born at Zanesville, O., on March 16, 1900, a son of James and Joseph (Fresh) McDonald. He came to Altoona twenty-one years ago and had conducted a barber shop in South Altoona. Surviving are his wife, Marie (McConnell) McDonald, two daughters, Mrs. Herman Claar of Altoona and Doris McDonald at home; one foster son, Thomas LeRoy Taylor, at home; one brother and one son, Charles McDonald and Mrs. Julia Reake, both of Zanesville, O. Mr. McDonald was a member of the Fifty-eighth Street Methodist church. Friends may call at the Lafferty funeral home. McDONALD - Funeral services for David Arthur McDonald of Canan Station will be held at the Lafferty funeral home at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon by Rev. B. L. Stenger.
