McDonough, foreman of the upper roundhouse of the Pennsylvania company, died at 1.30 o'clock yesterday morning at the Altoona hospital, of a cerebral hemorrhage. He was admitted to the institution on January 17. Mr. McDonough was born in Altoona, February 9, 1872, the son of John and Johanna McDonough, deceased. He entered the service of the Pennsy company at the age of 18, serving his apprenticeship and learning the coremaking trade. In 1904 he was transferred to the roundhouse and eight years ago promoted to foreman. He was married in this city, August 26, 1896, to Miss Agnes Dennigan, who survives with two sons, Paul and Charles. He is also survived by two brothers and one sister, as follows: John E., constable of the Fifth ward; Michael J., of Braddock, and Miss Mary E. McDonough, of this city. He was a member of St. John's Catholic church and the Altoona lodge of Artisans. The body was prepared for burial by Funeral Director N. A. Stevens and removed to the home of Miss Mary McDermitt, of 2422 West Chestnut avenue, from where the funeral will be held at a time to be announced later. McDonough will be held leaving the house, 2422 West Chestnut avenue, at 8:30 o'clock tomorrow morning, and proceeding to St. John's pro-cathedral, where requiem mass will be celebrated at 9 o'clock.
