LOCAL AND PERSONAL.

  Mr. Archibald McFadden, one of Hollidaysburg's oldest and most highly 
respected citizens, died at his residence, in that place, on Wednesday 
evening of last week, aged 73 years.  He was born in Allensville, 
Mifflin county, and when twenty years of age went to Hollidaysburg, 
where he resided up to the time of his death.  There is scarcely an old 
boatman in the Juniata Valley who did not know and respect Archy 
McFadden.
