The announcement that Mrs. S. P. McFadden had died quite suddenly at 9 o'clock on Monday evening cast a gloom over our whole town. Coming as it did on the same day that closed forever from our view Mrs. H. A. Irwin, made the shock doubly severe. Both ladies were highly respected for their many Christian virtues, and by their deaths a void is left in both the families that can never be filled. The time has not yet been announced for the funeral of Mrs. McFadden to take place. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Wednesday, February 18, 1880 HOLLIDAYSBURG HAPPENINGS. The funeral services of Mrs. S. P. McFadden will be held at 8:30 this A.M. The remains will be taken to Martinsburg on the 9:45 train.
