McFalls, esq., of Duncansville, died suddenly at his home in that place at 4 o'clock on Sunday afternoon. Some days ago our Duncansville correspondent noted the fact that Mr. McFalls had become the victim of an irresistible inclination to sleep. There was no change for the better, and the sleeping spells, as it now turns out, were the signs of approaching death, though his condition had at no time been such to excite the apprehensions of his friends, and his sudden death was a great surprise. He was a very fleshy man, weighing, it is said, over 350 pounds, and it is probable that his huge bulk was the cause of his death. Deceased was the son of the late Thomas McFalls, was about 49 years of age, was a native of Blair county and resided in Williamsburg or vicinity until about two years ago, when he removed to Duncansville. He was a member of the Duncansville post of the Grand Army of the Republic, by which organization he will be buried at Williamsburg to-day, leaving Duncansville on the 9 o'clock a.m. train. A wife, one daughter and two sons survive him; also two sisters and one brother. Altoona Tribune, November 12, 1885
