HOLLIDAYSBURG HINTS.

It is with heartfelt sympathy for the bereaved that we chronicle the
death of Miss Ella McFarland, the affectionate daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Robert McFarland, at 7 o'clock on Friday morning, aged 15 years.
The cause of her death was spinal meningitis, from which she had been
a sufferer for some ten days.  Death is at all times sad, but when it
strikes the young, bright and studious we feel our loss more sensibly.
The sorrowing friends should have comfort in the thought that she is
in heaven.  Funeral at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon.  Services by Rev.
D. H. Barron.

HOLLIDAYSBURG HINTS.

The funeral of Miss Ella McFarland was largely attended, Rev. Dr.
Barron conducting the religious exercises.  Interment was in the
Presbyterian cemetery.
