Mrs. Mary McGregor, wife of Mr. Daniel McGregor, sr., of 1512 Fourth avenue, died at the residence of her husband on Saturday afternoon at a quarter past 4 o'clock. She had been in failing health for the past six weeks and about ten days since fever set in and caused her death at the time stated. Mrs. McGregor was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Call, of Huntingdon, and was born on the 17th day of March, 1826, and was consequently in the 63d year of her age. About the year 1849 she married Mr. Daniel McGregor. The result of this union was ten children, four of whom are dead. Those living are: Christopher, James, John, Daniel and Sadie McGregor, and Mrs. Mary Mower, all of this city. The family has resided in Altoona for the past fifteen years, and is well and favorably known to a large number of our citizens. Mrs. McGregor was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, and while health permitted was prompt in her attendance on religious services. Altoona Tribune, February 21, 1889
