McGuire, of 614 Fourteenth street, died at 6:45 o'clock last evening at the Altoona hospital of dropsy after an illness of one month. She was taken to the hospital from her home on Saturday. Her death makes the third that has occurred in her family within the past fifteen months. Her brother-in-law, John P. Schlagle, with whom she made her home, died first, followed last fall by her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth McGuire. Miss McGuire's sister, Mrs. Schlagle, died a number of years ago and she took charge of the household, rearing the children. She was a daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth McGuire, both deceased, and was born in this city November 19, 1873. She is survived by two brothers, John and Thomas, both of this city.
