MCINTOSH Mr. McIntosh, 78, of 113 Allegheny St., Hollidaysburg, formerly of Wall Street, Hollidaysburg, died at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday, Jan 29, 1986, in Mercy Hospital, after an extended illness. Mr. McIntosh retired as a car repairman from the Penn Central in 1971, after 30 years service. He was born Oct. 14, 1907, in Duncansville, the son of John and Rita (Nagle) McIntosh, and April 19, 1930, in Hollidaysburg, married Viola Clapper. Surviving are his wife, six children: Clyde of Detroit, Mich.; Theodore and Janis Fuller of Spencer, Ind.; Beverly Kasunic of Newry and Thomas and Lois Rilling of Pensacola, Fla.; 22 grandchildren, including Daniel Jenkins, who was raised in the home, and 12 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Margaret Boggs of Mansfield, Ohio, and two step brothers: Nelson of Philadelphia and Bernard of Gallitzin. Mr. McIntosh was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg, and the American Legion, Fort Fetter Post. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Haller- Sorge Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg. MCINTOSH - The funeral of Clyde A. McIntosh will be held with a mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg, by Monsignor Thomas K. Mabon. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Haller-Sorge Funeral Home, where a wake service will be held at 8 p.m. He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers: Madeline Simpson, Patrick, and Charles. Altoona Mirror, January 30, 1986 ________ VIOLA MCINTOSH Mrs. Viola McIntosh, 89, formerly of Hollidaysburg, died Wednesday morning, May 5, 1999, at Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg, following a brief illness. She was born July 31, 1909, in Williamsburg, the daughter of the late William and Viola M. (Brantner) Clapper. She married Clyde A. McIntosh April 19, 1928, in Hollidaysburg. He died Jan. 29, 1986. Mrs. McIntosh was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg. She enjoyed crocheting and embroidering. Surviving are three daughters: Janis L. Fuller of Duncansville, Beverly I. Kasunic of Newry and Lois M. Rilling of Hollidaysburg; two sons: Thomas G. of Duncansville and Theodore W. of Spencer, Ind.; a sister, Mary VanOrmer of Altoona; a brother, D. Sonny of Altoona; 22 grandchildren, including Daniel Jenkins, who was raised in the home; 31 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Clyde J., July 15, 1998. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Sorge Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg. MCINTOSH - Funeral services for Mrs. Viola McIntosh will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at Sorge Funeral Home by Deacon John A. Tiernan. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Sorge Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg. Committal will be made at the New Canoe Creek Cemetery. She is survived by several nieces and nephew. She was preceded in death by two granddaughters: Loretta and Vicki; and a grandson, Jimmy III. She loved everyone.
