All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ BESSIE MCKINLEY Mrs. Bessie McKinley, of the United Presbyterian Home, Philipsburg, since 1965, and formerly of Tyrone, died at the home at 7:12 a.m. Friday after a lengthy illness. She was born Jan. 20, 1892 at Tyrone, a daughter of William P. and Clara Brian Gates. She was twice married, first to Gilbert Mitchell, and then to Homer F. McKinley. Both are deceased. Surviving is a daughter in law, Mrs. Mary Mitchell, of Chatham, N.J. and several nieces and nephews. A son and three brothers preceded her in death. She was of the Methodist faith, and was active in the War Mothers. Funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Derman Funeral Home in charge of the Reverend John P. Martin. Burial will be in Blair Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
