Main St., Bellwood, died Sunday morning, October 29, 2006 at his residence. He was born Dec. 2, 1930 in Tyrone, a son of the late John S. and Marie B. (Harpster) McKinney. He was married August 27, 1955 in Tyrone to Loretta Clara Stiles who died July 15, 2002. He is survived by a daughter Kathryn E. Miller and her husband Timothy of Honey Grove and a granddaughter Amanda K. Miller. Also surviving is one brother and three sisters: Samuel McKinney of Buffalo, NY; Alverta Bollinger of Tyrone; Gladys "Roxie" Brower of Tyrone and Mary McKinney of Tyrone. He was preceded in death by an infant son Chalmer McKinney II in 1959; sisters: Grace Faust, Herma Lasher, Ethel Miller and a brother Earl B. McKinney. He was a member of the Tyrone VFW No. 4559 and a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired as a machinist from F.L. Smith Machine Co., Duncansville after many years service. Funeral services and flag presentation will be held on Friday, November 3, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Jeffrey Luther officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and one hour before the service on Friday.
