J. D. McKnight, Second Avenue between Eighth and Ninth streets, Juniata. The deceased was born in Franklin County on July 14, 1829, and was consequently aged 77 years, 6 months and 20 days. He had been a resident of Altoona for the past seventeen years, making his home with his children. Death was the result of congestion of the lungs, he having been ill but ten days. To mourn their loss he leaves his wife and the following children: J. D. of Altoona: Mrs. J. E. Wertz, of East Altoona, and Mrs. Samuel Musselman, of Juniata. All were at his bedside when death came to him with the exception of Mrs. Wertz. He was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church, a thorough Christian and he will be greatly missed by those who had the pleasure of his acquaintance. Funeral services will be held at the residence of his son, J. D. in Juniata, at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
