Miss McLaughlin was born in New York city sixty-nine years ago and was brought to Hollidaysburg by her parents when a child. She lived continuously in Hollidaysburg ever since, until last October, when, on account of failing health, she was brought to the home of her nephew in this city. She was a dressmaker by occupation. She enjoyed a wide acquaintance and had many friends in Hollidaysburg. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mary Paisley, of this city, and a half-brother, D. McCaulley, of Dayton, Ohio. The funeral will leave the house at 7:30 o'clock on Monday morning to take the 8:05 train to Hollidaysburg. Requiem mass will be celebrated in St. Mary's Catholic church in Hollidaysburg, after which interment will be made in St. Mary's cemetery. Altoona Mirror, January 4, 1895, page 8
