McMULLEN Died on Saturday at Her Home on Ridge Avenue. About ten minutes after four o'clock on Saturday afternoon, Mrs. Martha C. McMullen, widow of Peter McMullen, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Bartlebaugh, on Ridge avenue, after a lingering illness of tuberculosis. Mrs. Martha McMullen, whose maiden name was Ray, was born at Newry, and was aged 69 years, 7 months and 9 days. Her early girlhood days were spent in Sinking valley, when about eighteen years ago she moved near Tyrone where she resided until about six mouths ago, she began making her home with her daughter Mrs. Bartlebaugh. Her husband, Peter McMullen, proceeded her to the grave about thirty years ago. Mrs. McMullen was born and raised a Catholic, but sometime ago she changed her religious faith to that of the Lutheran and will be buried accordingly. Surviving to mourn her death are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Bartlebaugh and Miss Sallie McMullen, of Tyrone, and one brother Ambrose Bay, of Pine Croft. Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, in charge of Rev E. M. Morgan, of the First Lutheran church, which deceased attended when in good health.
