He is the first death from that disease in the city, for many years. McMullin had formerly worked for the Pennsy in this city. He was employed in a munitions plant at Cleveland, O., until last fall when he returned home in ill health. He failed to improve and small-pox developed early in January. He was quarantined first as a suspect, but later the malady was apparent in a more advanced stage, and he gradually grew weaker. McMullin was the son of John, deceased, and Mrs. Anna McMullin. He was 29 years old on December 21st. He was unmarried, and is survived by his mother, two brothers and a foster-brother: Charles E., and William McMullin, and Robert Murphy, all of this city. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren. The body was prepared for burial yesterday and at 10:30 o'clock last night it was taken to Rose Hill cemetery, and interred. All members of the household had been vaccinated, and the patient was isolated at all times since small-pox developed. Altoona Tribune, Saturday, February 15, 1919
