She was born at Tyrone Forges on September 4, 1808, and at death was aged a little less than 98 years. She had been confined to her bed the past six months from weakness owing to old age. She had a vigorous constitution and remained active until within the last year. At the age of 15 years she removed with her parents to Westmoreland county, but later returned to Tyrone Forges. On August 28, 1830, she was married to Joshua Meadville, and with her husband went to the Warriorsmark Valley. Most of her life was spent on the Riverside farm near Fostoria. Her husband died in 1853. She was the mother of twelve children, four of whom are yet living namely: Graham ex-sheriff of Blair county, now residing in North Bend, Neb.; Mrs. John Henshey, of Antis township, near Bellwood, and John and Miss Rose, at home. She was a member of the Baptist church for nearly half a century, being baptized at Williamsburg. One who knew Mother Meadville says she was a kindly and charitable lady and by many agreeable traits of heart and mind had endeared herself to those who were privileged to know her. The funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Tyrone Herald, Tyrone, Pa., September 25, 1905
