All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ Saturday afternoon at 2.20 Mrs. Mary Meadville, wife of Jacob Meadville, died at the family home in Sinking Valley of paralysis, with which she was stricken on Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock, while she was engaged in her household duties. She was a daughter of Perry and Mary Orr, deceased, and was born in Sinking Valley March 14, 1845. The greater part of her life was spent in Sinking Valley. She was married on October 20, 1889, to Jacob Meadville. She was a member of the Lutheran church of Sinking Valley, and was highly esteemed in the community in which she lived. Besides her husband, she is survived by two brothers and three sisters - T. K. and C. M. Orr, Mrs. Lydia Wilson, Mrs. Susie Landis and Mrs. Kate McConnell, all of Altoona. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the home of Mrs. Wilson, 918 Seventh avenue, Altoona. Interment at Fairview cemetery. The Tyrone Daily Herald, Thursday, December 8, 1904
