Joseph Meintel,

A former citizen of Hollidaysburg, died at his home in Gallitzin, on 
Wednesday evening, aged 70 years.  He came to this country from 
Wurtemburg, Germany, in 1848.  His wife preceded him to the grave 
fifteen years ago.  He leaves eight children.  Mrs. Aloisa Meintel is a 
sister-in-law and Henry Meintel a nephew of the deceased.  Mr. Meintel 
was a shoemaker by occupation.  The funeral services will take place in 
St. Michael's Catholic church, Hollidaysburg, on Saturday morning; 
interment in St. Mary's cemetery.
