MARY J. MEREDITH.

  At 5.30 o'clock last evening Mrs. Mary J. Meredith died at her home 
on the Root farm in Antis township, near Bellwood, of dropsy and 
consumption.  Deceased had been ailing for several months and was aged 
68 years.  She was a member of the Baptist church and highly esteemed 
by all who knew her.  She is survived by these children: Mrs. J. 
William McCauley, of Bellwood; Mrs. James Stephens, of Tipton; Mrs. 
Fred Wherley, of Altoona; Jacob, of Bellwood, and Joseph and Alice, at 
home.  The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, 
services to be conducted by Rev. A. C. Walker; interment in Logan 
Valley cemetery at Bellwood.
