Mrs. Eliza Merritts,

Wife of Peter Merritts, died at her home in Frankstown township, on 
Wednesday, of ills incident to old age.  Deceased was a consistent 
member of the Lutheran church for forty-five years, and in the early 
days attended the services held by Rev. Jacob Martin, in the old log 
church below Frankstown.  She was a daughter of Abram Gibson, and was 
nearly 76 years of age.  In addition to her husband she leaves a family 
of eight children - six sons and two daughters.  Her six sons will 
convey her remains to the grave.  The funeral services will be held at 
7:30 tomorrow morning.  Interment in Frankstown cemetery.
