Employe of the Company Who Was Well Known to Many. At 3 o'clock yesterday morning George Metz, a well known resident of this city, died at his boarding house, 416 Sixth avenue, of a complication of diseases. He had been ailing for some time. Deceased was born near Newrw [Newry] and was ___ 58 years of age. He came to this city over thirty years ago and entered the employ of the Pennsylvania Railroad company and continued in its employ until his last sickness. For many years he was employed at the weigh scales at GD office. He was a member of the Grace Lutheran church and of several orders, among them being the Knights of the Mystic Chain, castle No. ___. He is survived by one brother, __am Metz, of Dysart, Cambria county. The funeral will take place this afternoon, services to be conducted at his late home at 2 o'clock.
