METZ

  Miss Martha E. Metz, daughter of Walter L. and Dessa (Hyle) Metz 
(both deceased) died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Milton F. Poet, 
214 Walnut street, Hollidaysburg at 3:30 o'clock Sunday morning of 
acute gastritis, which followed an attack of influenza.  Deceased was 
aged nearly 21 years, having been born in Gaysport, December 10th, 
1897.  She leaves to survive her one sister, Mrs. Poet with whom she 
resided and one brother, Harvey N. Hyle of Gaysport.  She was a member 
of the Methodist church of Hollidaysburg, always leading a beautiful 
Christian life.  The funeral services will be held at the home of the 
deceased Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Woomer of Huntingdon 
and Rev. Harter officiating.
