Orin Mickey, a well known Pittsburg division engineer residing at 504 Twenty-fourth street, died yesterday at St. Francis hospital, Pittsburg, of nephritis, after a two weeks' illness. Deceased was born at Latrobe and was aged about 40 years. He was reared in that town and in 1898 he entered the service of the Pennsylvania Railroad company as a fireman on the Pittsburg division. He was promoted to the position of engineman in 1903. He had resided in this city for the past several years and was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, was a devout Christian gentleman and enjoyed the respect and esteem of his fellow railroad men and all who shared his acquaintance. He was a member of Jerry C. Burley division No. 287, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and the Knights of Pythias. He is survived by his wife and these children: William J., M. Orin, Mary L., Laura May and Beatrice A., and by a step-daughter, Annie M. Brindle. He is also survived by his mother and several brothers. The remains will be taken to the home of his sister-in-law, Mrs. Arthur Trible, of 402 A, Middle street, Wilmerding. The funeral will take place at Wilmerding, the time to be announced later. Mickey, whose death occurred at St. Francis hospital, Pittsburg, will be buried from the home of his sister, Mrs. Arthur Trible, 402 A Middle avenue, Wilmerding, Saturday at 2:30 in the afternoon.
