All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ WILLIAMSBURG Mrs. Samuel Miller Ellen Gillum Miller, wife of Samuel Miller, of East Fourth street, died at the residence at 3:05 Friday morning of Bright's disease, after an illness covering a period of four years. A daughter of John (deceased) and Mary Winsky Gillum, she was born at Mt. Union in 1871. She was united in marriage at Mt. Union in 1887 to Samuel Miller, by the Presbyterian minister, Rev. Campbell. After their marriage they lived in Harrisburg for thirteen years, later at Johnsonburg, and for the past twelve years in Williamsburg. Three sons and one daughter were born to the union, three dying in childhood and one, Roy, in manhood, since residing in Williamsburg. During her residence in Williamsburg she was affiliated with the Methodist Episcopal church and was regular in attendance when health permitted, and was a good woman, esteemed by many friends. Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by two sisters and three brothers: Mrs. Charles Miller, Mrs. Renie Shank, James and Charles Gillum, all of Mt. Union, and William, of near Pittsburg; also one grandchild, Leona Miller. The remains will be taken Sunday morning on the 9:50 train to Mt.
