Miller, respected Antis Township farmer, died at the State Hospital at Philipsburg, Thursday morning at 1:25 o'clock. Deceased was born April 29, 1888, at Dublin Mills, Fulton County, Pa., the son of the late William and Catherine (Berkstresser) Miller. He came to Blair County on April 6, 1905, and has since resided on the Miller farm, near Bellwood. He married Minnie Frances Corbin, and had he lived until Saturday, they would have celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary. He was a devout member of the First Methodist Episcopal Church of Bellwood, faithful in his membership. Deceased is survived by his widow, three daughters: Miss Nelda, at home; Mrs. Mary LeVan, Philadelphia; and Mrs. Ruth Otley, of Detroit, Michigan; six sons, Dean Fred Miller, Cambridge, Massachusetts; William Arthur Miller and Paul E. Miller both of Detroit, Michigan; Donald C. Miller, Altoona; Professor Norman Miller, Tyrone, and Reverend Dr. John Homer Miller, Springfield, Massachusetts. Three brothers, John H. Miller, Los Angeles, California; Jere Miller, Chicago, Illinois; Richard Miller, Wooster, Ohio; and Allen, Ray and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Wright, Dublin Mills, and Mrs. Lillian Shafer, Port Royal, Pa., survive as well as seven grand children. Funeral services will be held from the First Method Episcopal Church, Bellwood, Pa. on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, by Reverend Dr. John Homer Miller and Reverend T. M. Stone, the latter pastor of the Bellwood church. Interment will be made in the family burial plot. Tyrone Daily Herald, June 23, 1939, page 8
