He was a son of William and Mary Jane Miller and was born Sept 21, 1854. Forty-seven years ago he was married to Miss Mary Erb, who survives with nine children: William, of Toledo, O., Harry, of Figart, Frank, Mrs. Chester Wolf, Mrs. J. E. Whittaker of Altoona, Mrs. J. F. Maxwell of Pittsburgh, Mrs. William McIntyre of Juniata, Mrs. P. J. Irvin of Tyrone, Miss Elizabeth of Toledo. His oldest son, John, was killed in an accident at the Tyrone paper mill four weeks ago. Mr. Miller was a carpenter by trade. Practically all his life had been spent in this vicinity and his circle of friends was large. He was an attendant at the United Brethren church. Funeral service will be Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home, in charge of Rev. C. H. Rhodes. Interment in Logan Valley cemetery. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., Monday, August 20, 1923, page 20
