Miller, a brief notice of whose death was published on Saturday morning, died at the residence of Mr. Levi Brumbaugh, on Clover Creek, a short distance below the village of Fredericksburg, in this county. Mr. Miller was born at Ray's Hill, Fulton county, on February 9, 1799, and had been a resident of this county for forty-five years. He was a wagonmaker by trade and for many years worked at this occupation in Millerstown, Blair county. He was married to Miss Mary Hissong, of Woodbury, Bedford county, and the fruits of this marriage were five sons and three daughters. The names of the children now living are: Levi Miller, of Ottawa county, Kansas; Alexander Miller, living at Fredericksburg, this county; D. H. Miller, of this city, Mrs. Marietta Rice and Mrs. Elizabeth Lynn, of Sharpsburg, and Mrs. Sarah Glass living at Martinsburg. His wife died in 1871. He was a member of the German Baptist church and had been for many years. He was a kind and affectionate father and enjoyed the respect of all who knew him. Altoona Tribune, November 12, 1885
