Miller, Jr., 57, of RD1 Box 80, Tyrone died at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at the Tyrone Hospital. He was born December 22, 1948 at Philipsburg a son of the late Joseph Porter and Edna Florence (Faust) Miller. He was married August 23, 1978 in Tyrone to Peggy L. Teeters. He is survived by his wife and a daughter, Christie Anderson of McKee. Also, two sisters and two brothers: Dorothy Hannah of Altoona, Ronald Miller (Diane) of Tyrone, Melvin "Mike" Miller (Peg) of Tyrone and Donna Fink (Daniel Smith) of Tyrone, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers John, Wayne Paul and Gary. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the US Army receiving the Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. He was a member of the Hookies Fire Co. and the Pine Hill Hunting Club in Sinking Valley. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed excursions to Charlestown with his sisters and buddy "Fisher". He retired on disability in 2001 from Westvaco Corp., Tyrone, as a Beater Room Operator after 18 years service. He was a skilled carpenter and was proud of his many construction projects. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 29, 2006 at 1 p.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone. Interment with full Military Honors will be at Blair Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. service time. Tyrone Daily Herald, September 28, 2006
