MRS. KATHERINE BOYLE MILLER  
 
Well known resident of Tyrone, died at the home of her son, Fred A. 
Miller, 2004 Columbia avenue, Sunday afternoon at 1.35 o'clock, death 
being attributed to an affection of the heart with which she had been a 
sufferer all winter. She was born at Tipton, Feb. 7, 1851, a daughter 
of John K. and Mary Miller, and was united in marriage with Alonzo E. 
Miller on Aug. 29, 1871.  He died in 1915.  She is survived by the 
following children:  Charles K. Miller of New York, Mrs. P. R. Gardner 
of Audubon, N.J., Arthur L. Miller, of Tyrone, Mrs. W. L. Barr of 
Altoona, Mrs. P. E. Denny and Fred A., and Reed T. Miller of Tyrone, 
one brother, William Miller of Bellwood; one sister, Mrs. W. R. Young 
of Petersburg, and twenty-one grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian church and 
the home department of the Sunday school. Funeral services will be 
conducted at the home, 2004 Columbia Avenue, Wednesday afternoon at 
2.30 o'clock, in charge of Rev. George A. Duvall, pastor of the 
Columbia Avenue Methodist church.  Interment will be made in the Logan 
Valley cemetery in Bellwood.
