Death of an Estimable Lady after Long Illness from Consumption Mrs. Mary Adaline Miller, wife of George W. Miller, died at the home of her son, M. Lloyd Miller, at 1200 Clay avenue, at 1 o'clock Monday morning, of consumption from which she had been a sufferer for a year and a half. She resided at 108 West Thirteenth street. About two months ago, she went to her son's home, it being then evident that she was not long for this world. She was able to be up and about, however, until about two weeks ago, when her condition became serious and she slowly sank until the end came. The deceased was born at Woomer settlement, near Bald Eagle, on March 27, 1849, and at death was aged 53 years, 8 months and 4 days. Her maiden name was Mary Adaline Woomer. On December 30, 1869, she was united in marriage to George W. Miller, and they have been for many years among Tyrone's most estimable people. Mrs. Miller was a kind, loving and helpful wife and mother, and her life was a noble example of true wifehood and motherhood. Surviving are her husband, George W. Miller; one daughter, Mrs. Thadeus Stevens, of Tipton; and two sons, M. Lloyd and Edwin H. Miller, of Tyrone. One sister, Mrs. Maggie Anderson, of Tyrone, and two brothers, David Woomer, of Altoona, and William Woomer, of Yeagertown, also survive. The funeral took place at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning, when services at the home of M. Lloyd Miller, 1200 Clay avenue, were conducted by Rev. J. E. B. Rice and Rev. A. J. Weisley. Interment at Charlottesville. Daily Herald, Tyrone, Pa., December 4, 1902, page 4
