Miller of 118 Crawford avenue, this city, received a telegram this morning stating that his father, Moses B. Miller, had died suddenly at his home in Huntingdon early this morning. The cause of his death was heart failure, he having had heart trouble for many years. The deceased was born in Bedford county, December 13, 1833. He spent most of his early life in the vicinity of his birthplace, and on September 12, 1856, was married to Miss Emiline Hays at East Sharpsburg, this county. He had learned the blacksmith trade and worked at it up to the time of his death. He lived in this city from 1879 to 1286 [sic], when he went to Huntingdon. His wife was in this city visiting her children when the news of his death came. She and her son, David, left on day express this morning for Huntingdon. The surviving children are David S., Mrs. Delilah Stains and Mrs. Araminta Hostler, of this city, Samuel, Aaron, Scott, Annie L., and Mrs. Hannah Young of Huntingdon. He is also survived by three sisters, living in Bedford county. The remains will be interred in Clover Creek, this county. Altoona Mirror, June 2, 1896
