Do not call Ralph back, mother, Do not weep nor sigh; Think that your has gone, mother, To that sweet by and by. Don't fret about my grave, father, When I am laid beneath the clayey sod, Rejoice to know your Ralph's gone To meet his Savior and his God. Meet me, brother, meet me, Meet me at Heaven's gate; That stands ajar, from you so far, There on you I'll wait. Weep not for me, my sisters, When thou art all alone; For I am gone to join the angel band, Around the great white throne. Meet me, parents, meet me, Meet me in the land of rest; Where all is joy for your darling boy, At rest! At rest! At rest! A FRIEND.
