MILLS Died last evening at 6:22 o'clock at her home, 1514 Twelfth avenue. Death resulted from a general breaking down of her system. She had been ill for the past four years and was confined to her room three years. The deceased was a daughter of the late John Oakes and was born near McAlevy's Fort, Huntingdon county, March 12, 1826. She was married to Rev. William R. Mills, February 22, 1844. He was pastor of the First Methodist church in this city for four years during the sixties. Rev. Mills died in York on December 10, 1869. Mrs. Mills has resided in this city for the past nine years and is survived by her daughter, Annie J., widow of the late Dr. W. J. Allen of this city and three sons, William S., of Steelton and Albert S. and Clarence C., of this city. She had been a consistent Christian woman since her childhood and was a devout member of the First Methodist church of this city. Services will be conducted at the house at 8 tomorrow evening. The body will be taken to Petersburg Sunday morning on Atlantic express and the interment will be made at that place. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., October 18, 1895
