Mrs. Susan Mingle died at her home, 1349 North Pennsylvania avenue, yesterday morning at 4 o'clock, of dysentery. The deceased, whose maiden name was Susan Branstetter, was born near Hummellstown [sic], Dauphin county, January 13, 1826, and was aged 72 years, 7 months and 23 days. Her parents settled in Warriorsmark Valley, Huntingdon county, some sixty years ago, where the subject of this notice was married to Joseph Mingle, June 21, 1849. Her husband died in Tyrone, October 6, 1896. Mrs. Mingle was a faithful, consistent member of the United Brethren church, a devoted wife, a loving and indulgent mother, and an excellent neighbor. She is survived by four sons and six daughters, viz: John L. Mingle, of Sinking Valley; Rev. William H. Mingle, of Woodland, Clearfield county; Adie and David Mingle, Mrs. William Galbraith, Mrs. R. Clarence Galbraith, Mrs. Wm. Lower, Mrs. Jno. Lower, Mrs. Jennie Sheerer, wife of Rev. J. C. Sheerr [sic], deceased, all of Tyrone, and Annie, at home. She is also survived by one brother and one sister - David Bransetter [sic], of Tyrone, and Mrs. Martha Eyer, of Warriorsmark valley. Funeral services will be held at her late home tomorrow morning at 10:30 o'clock, to be conducted by her pastor, Rev. W. W. Rymer, assisted by Rev. G. W. Sherrick and Rev. Albert J. Weisley.
